‘The Life You Wanted’ is an Italian TV drama. Written and Directed by Ivan Cotroneo, and co-written by Monica Rametta, the series follows the story of a transgender woman who is leading a happy life in Lecce, a town in Italy. Her life is turned upside down when she is visited by her old friend who brings up an unsettling news that brings chaos into her life. The series features Vittoria Schisano as Gloria, Giuseppe Zeno as Sergio, Pina Turco as Marina, Alessio Lapice as Pietro and Nicola Bello as Andrea.

‘Dancing for the Devil’ – 29th May 2024

‘Dancing for the Devil’ is a dark documentary series which focuses on the real-life experiences of Miranda Derrick and other Tik Tok dancers as they join a church-affiliated management company, called 7M Films, Inc, that exploits the would-be stars by laying a trap for them. The documentary shows abusive behaviour and devilish tactics used by the founders of the 7M cult to ensnare its members. It is directed by Derek Doneen.

‘Bionic’ – 29th May 2024

Director Afonso Poyart brings a futuristic-dystopian thriller which follows the story of two sisters caught in rivalry. They found themselves lost in the fame for success and glory in the world of sports which takes them to a sinister path. It is the first Brazilian movie of its kind produced by Netflix. The cast includes – Bruno Gagliasso as Heitor and Christian Malheiros as Gus, and Klebber Toledo, Paulo Vilhena and Danton Mello in other roles. The high-octane action thriller comes with riveting visual effects and a compelling storyline.

‘Geek Girl’ – 30th May 2024

‘Geek Girl’ is a teen drama series based on one of the best-selling book series of the same title. Directed by Declan O’Dwyer, the series revolves around Harriet, a clumsy girl who struggles to blend in with her peers and often finds herself in awkward predicaments. Unexpectedly, she receives a phone call from a modeling agency, which completely alters the course of her life. The star cast of the film includes Emily Carey as Harriet Manners who is best-known for playing as Alicent Hightower in HBO’s House of the Dragon series. The other cast has Tim Downie as Richard Manners, Alana Boden as Miss Lord, Madeleine Price as Liv, Hersha Verity as Maia, and Alexandra Chaves as Millie.

‘Eric’ – 30th May 2024

‘Epic’ is a six-episode, British psychological series that tells the story of a father who is on a hunt to find his missing nine-year old son on the streets of 1980s New York. While Lucy Forbes directed the series, Abi Morgan penned down the script. The film stars Oscar nominee Benedict Cumberbatch, Gaby Hoffmann, McKinley Belcher III, Dan Fogler and Clarke Peters in major roles.

‘A Part of You’ – 31st May 2024

‘A Part of You’ is a Swedish drama centered around the theme of coming-of-age, it explores the concepts of loss and the desire to liberate oneself from their established identity. Director Sigge Eklund skillfully portrays the inner complexities of a teenager’s mind during her teenage years as she struggles to carve out her own identity. The ensemble cast includes Felicia Maxime, Edvin Ryding, Zara Larsson, Ida Engvoll, Nikki Hanseblad, Alva Bratt, Olivia Essén.

‘Raising Voices’ – 31st May 2024

‘Raising Voices’ is a Spanish teenage drama based on the novel of the same name written by Miguel Sáez Carral. It stars Nicole Wallace as Alma, a 17-year-old who is about to finish her high school, Clara Galle as Greta and Aïcha Villaverde as Nata, who are Alma’s best friends. The series follows the ups and downs of a teenager’s life until one day Alma decides to hang a banner on the front of her school that reads, “Beware, a rapist is hiding in there”. The series is directed by Eduard Cortés, David Ulloa and Marta Font.

‘How to Ruin Love: The Proposal’ is about a woman named Zoleka who suspects her boyfriend is cheating on her and devises a plan to catch him red-handed. However, her own secret proposal goes awry, leaving her wondering if she can ever win her lover’s trust. Will she be able to win her love back? The South-African series is a spin-off from 2020’s popular ‘How to Ruin Christmas’. Sivenathi Mabuya plays Zoleka and Bohang Moeko plays Kagiso, her boyfriend. The series is created and produced by Katleho Ramaphakela and Rethabile Ramaphakela.

New Amsterdam Season 4’ – 1st June 2024

‘New Amsterdam’ is a medical drama that revolves around Dr. Max Goodwin, a medical director of New York’s New Amsterdam Medical Centre, the oldest hospital in America. The series is created by David Schulner. It will be releasing its fourth season in June. The series stars Ryan Eggold as Dr. Max Goodwin, Freema Agyeman as Dr. Helen Sharpe, Janet Montgomery as Dr. Lauren Bloom, Jocko Sims as Dr. Floyd Reynolds, Tyler Labine as Dr. Ignatius “Iggy” Frome, Anupam Kher as Dr. Vijay Kapoor and others.
