Alex is an actress, comedian, voice artist and producer who was born on 15 February 1971 in Chicago, US. She spent most of her childhood in Illinois before moving to California. She is graduated from San Francisco State University, where she learnt rhetoric. She got trained in comedy from ACME comedy theatre based in California.

Career
Since Alex got trained for rhetoric and improvisational comedy. She got noticed by Talent agents, soon she got a part in MADtv comedy series. Prior to MADtv, she wrote and did voice over for many TV shows like Casper, Pinky and the Brain, Power Rangers Zeo.

In the very beginning of her career, she met writer and her life partner at ‘ACME comedy theatre’. Thereafter, they started working on animated series ‘Casper’ and ‘Pinky and the Brain’. Meanwhile, Alex left her ad agency job and started her journey as a full time writer.
Alex is mainly known for her work in Family Guy (1999), Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story (2005), Bad Santa (2003), and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2017). In 1999 she became the voice of Lois Griffin in Family Guy.
