Despite this, she didn’t reveal anything for a long time. Then, an alarming incident occurred at Tusse’s school where he went missing, seemingly chased by someone. Three individuals stopped him, warning him not to scream.

Despite extensive search efforts by teachers and authorities, Tusse couldn’t be found. His mother became frantic, and even when the police located Tusse, he remained tight-lipped about what happened, denying seeing anything. This situation prompted Bilal’s mother to confide in Farid, expressing her belief that Tusane might know something about Bilal’s disappearance but refuses to share it with her.

In this conversation, Bilal’s mother discloses that they struck a deal with someone named Mehdi. Mehdi demanded money for Bilal to be released, and she paid him whatever she could. However, Mehdi continued to demand more. Confused and worried, Bilal’s mother couldn’t understand what Mehdi wanted from Tusane.

In his mother’s apartment, Mehdi was having a conversation with his mother when there was a knock at the door. This caught the attention of the police. Six months later, a court case took place. Present at the court were Mehdi, Farid, Bilal’s mother and brothers, and other officials. This was the main trial between the prosecutor and Mehdi regarding charges of planning to kill Bilal and possessing a weapon. The prosecutor claimed that Mehdi instructed Douglas Arnfeldt to murder Bilal because Bilal joined a dropout program. Mehdi denied these accusations. Then, they played an interview with Douglas Arnfeldt.

Following that, Bilal’s mother spoke. She said that Bilal regretted his actions and wanted to leave everything behind. He didn’t want to be involved anymore. The prosecutor asked her how Mehdi reacted to this. She replied that Mehdi demanded payment to release Bilal, and even though the family gave everything they had, Mehdi wanted more. After more questioning, Mehdi maintained that he didn’t give Douglas the gun. This complicated things, especially for Farid, who wanted Mehdi off the streets. The main trial concluded, and the verdict would be announced the following Thursday at 9 a.m. Until then, Mehdi Bah would remain in custody.

What is the concealed truth in the scenario?

After the first hearing, Farid and another female official, Lana, meet. Farid tells Lana that Bilal’s younger brother, Tusse, gave false testimony, claiming he saw Mehdi give Dogge the weapon. However, Tusse actually doesn’t know how Dogge got the weapon. Farid admits that Tusse lied in court about being present when Dogge received the weapon. He also reveals that even the prosecutor is unaware of this discrepancy. Farid fears that if he informs the prosecutor, Mehdi will be acquitted, which he doesn’t want. This leads to a heated argument between Lana and Farid.

The scene then shifts to the past, where Douglas receives a phone call from Bilal, asking to meet because he wants to give Douglas something. At Bilal’s home, Douglas notices a suitcase of Bilal’s clothes and questions where he’s going. Bilal hands Douglas a gun, saying it’s insurance against Mehdi, as he plans to leave for Nigeria to stay with his uncle. Bilal explains he can’t take the gun on the flight, so he gives it to Douglas.

Back in the present court case, Mehdi remains silent under questioning. Then, the narrative returns to the past, where Douglas takes pills and makes a phone call to the gang he works for, telling them Billy isn’t with him. The gang member questions Douglas about Billy’s whereabouts and the grenades, which Douglas denies knowing about. The gang member warns Douglas about the trouble he’s in and advises him to collect Billy and everything Billy borrowed and meet him.

Billy and Douglas meet at the pool, where Douglas questions why Billy didn’t show up. Billy explains he couldn’t and questions if they’re expected to kill someone because Mehdi says so. Tensions rise as Douglas learns Billy threw away the grenades. Douglas expresses frustration, saying he would have done it if Billy didn’t want to. Billy remains silent, and Douglas tearfully tells him he’s trapped and can’t face the gang alone. Billy insists he chose his family over the gang, but Douglas retorts he would have chosen Billy. In anger, Douglas shoots at Billy, who runs away in fear. This truth is revealed to the viewers but not the court.
