Summary of Episode 11

After confessing everything to the reporters and after their departure, we witness the meeting between Lee Do-Han and his grandfather, during which we discover that the grandfather knew the truth all along. He was also the one who sent people to follow Lee Do-Han to the US and had those pictures exposed. Everyone seems to be stressed out in this episode. Additionally, Na Ah Jeong confesses to her parents that her marriage to Lee Do-Han was fake and breaks down in her mother’s arms, crying because Lee Ji-Han has been missing in action ever since he confessed in front of the reporters.

On the other hand, Lee Do-Han is seen to be very depressed, mentally disturbed, and pressured. The two brothers, Lee Ji-Han and Lee Do-Han, meet and talk. Lee Ji-Han’s step-sister seems to be plotting something and is happy with all the recent commotion, as her only goal is to take over the family’s group and she is hungry for it. Na Ah Jeong keeps texting Lee Ji-Han every day but gets no reply from him. Na Ah Jeong meets the grandfather of Lee Ji-Han and Lee Do-Han, and the grandfather tries to plead with her to protect the secret of his grandson Lee Do-Han. However, she rejects his plea and walks away.

Later, she comes back and tells the grandfather that he should treat his grandchildren well if he really loves and cares for them. Then, we see Lee Do-Han exposing the real truth to the public about the fake marriage and calling Na Ah Jeong to apologize as he walks to the airport, leaving.Na Ah Jeong and Lee Ji-Han meet in a picturesque countryside area abundant with lush greenery. As they bid farewell to each other with tears in their eyes, they engage in a heartfelt conversation about their relationship.

Then, we witness Lee Ji-Han meeting his grandfather, where they have a heart-to-heart conversation for the first time. It becomes apparent that Lee Ji-Han has been burdened with self-blame for his mother’s death all this time, believing that if the tragedy hadn’t happened, he and his brother would have lived a normal life like any other family. The grandfather tells him that he does not resent him  but he couldn’t forgive himself for the death of his mother.

In this episode, we witness Na Ah Jeong embarking on a fresh start in her career, thriving as an actress. Meanwhile, Lee Ji-Han is shown to be diligently working. A significant controversy unfolds within the LJ Group. Later, during Lee Ji-Han’s visit to his late mother’s resting place, Na Ah Jeong waits for him outside in the rain. They reunite and discuss how everything and everyone has been faring well and happily. After some time away, Lee Do Han returns to Korea for a break.

As they ride home together, they engage in a more open conversation, indicating a newfound transparency in their friendship, which appears to be blossoming. Subsequently, we observe Lee Ji-Han and his grandfather bonding during a fishing trip, during which Lee Ji-Han indirectly seeks forgiveness. Later, Na Ah Jeong asks Lee Ji-Han to drive her to her movie shooting location urgently due to her manager’s issue. Amidst slight improvements within the chairman’s family, Lee Do Han reconciles with his friend who previously threatened him, now apologizing for his past actions. Ah Jeong and Lee Ji-Han’s relationship is official, with no fight for the company, and everyone seems to be excelling in their respective fields. There was no specific scheming or killing behind the scenes; instead, a very unfortunate accident occurred due to misunderstandings within each character, fueled by assumptions because the real truth wasn’t revealed. The grandfather distanced himself from Lee Ji-Han not because of any ulterior motive, but mainly because he couldn’t forgive himself for the death of Lee Ji-Han’s mother.

The ending provides viewers with a sense of peace and satisfaction as everything falls into place. Lee Do-Han is much more confident about his identity in life and is seen to have matured even further. On the other hand, Lee Ji-Han is portrayed as living for himself. He confesses his feelings to Na Ah Jeong’s parents, and the two end up together by the end of the episode. The relationship between the chairman’s family shows significant improvement, with the grandfather and his stepsister standing up for him against comments made by his stepbrother. Na Ah Jeong’s parents are also pleased with Lee Ji-Han’s honesty and transparency with them.
