This is not the first time werewolves have inspired a film. The fascination for these mythical creatures dates back to 1941 when the Universal Studios introduced their first werewolf film, The Wolf Man. Produced and directed by George Waggner, the film was an 18 minutes long film. It came to be known as a masterpiece. Later, Universal Studios went on to produce another film in 1935, called, Werewolf of London.

Later on, as the cinema progressed and we were introduced to new genres it has been noticed that the makers haven’t left a single category to explore with the theme of werewolves. You name it and they have it, be it romance, horror, comedy, fantasy or drama. The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Teen Wolf, Underworld:Rise of the Lycans, Ginger Snaps are some of the best werewolf movies of all time.
